Kumusta!

Hi! I’m Kristal, a second-generation Filipino-American woman entrepreneur based in Portland, and I founded Barkada Coffee to share the bold flavors of Philippine-grown coffee and build community around every cup.

My mission is simple. Bring people together through good coffee, good stories, and a little Filipino hospitality. If you’re curious about Liberica (Barako), Robusta, Excelsa, or Arabica from the Philippines, you’re in the right spot.

Whether you’re a coffee lover, a culture lover, or just looking for something new and delicious, I’m glad you’re here!

Barkada.

What it means to me?

Barkada (bar-kah-da) is the Filipino word for your closest crew, the people you can be yourself with, and the ones who just get you.

That sense of connection is how we think about coffee: not just a drink, but a moment of belonging.

In a culture of instant everything, we’re here to make room for something real. Coffee is how we slow down together, and every cup is an invitation to reconnect!

Bring Barkada Coffee to your workplace or event!

We offer specialty coffee catering, cultural tastings, and community pop-ups featuring all four Philippine coffee species. Everything is brewed fresh, crafted with care, and rooted in the Filipino idea of barkada: connection, friendship, and good vibes over a good cup.

Perfect for team gatherings, festivals, workshops, and creative spaces!
